The Voice of the Listener and Viewer 14th Annual Children’s Conference takes place on Wednesday the 5th November this year, at the New Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London WC2, from 9.15 am – 4.45 pm. This year the theme is “Children’s Television: a glimmer of hope”. With speakers to be announced shortly, the VLV conference always provides an in depth analysis of the issues surrounding children’s broadcasting – and one major focus this year will be on the final response to the Ofcom PSB review.

There has been some press coverage recently about the VL’;s founder and long-standing chairperson Jocelyn Hay who has retired from the role after 25 years and handed over to veteran journalist Richard Lindley. Save Kids’ TV wishes him well, and our congratulations and thanks go to Jocelyn for her outstanding work in helping to maintain the standards of broadcasting in this country over the last 25 years, and her untiring efforts on behalf of the children’s audience. We wish her the very best for her new role of Life President of the VLV.
