There has been a fifty year history of great public-service television for children on ITV, and more recently C4, Channel Five and the British production activity at Nickelodeon and Disney. Without adequate funding these channels are either already getting out of kids’ TV production or will have to severely reduce what they make here in the UK for our kids.
