For many children, kids’ TV can provide their first introduction to narrative storytelling. It can educate, it can entertain, and it frequently fills in large gaps in parenting skills. So if you get rid of it, think long and hard about what will take its place. And besides, without it, what are the kids of today going to reminisce about on the ‘I Love…’ shows of tomorrow?
